Every parent is proud of their child, and we are no different. Madelyn is a great baby, she rolls with the punches and has such a zest about her. A lot of people have said to us "she is such a good baby" which is almost always followed by "you are screwed with #2!" I know they're right about about the first part, and here's to hoping they're wrong about the second part! Madelyn is our pride and joy, and we don't know any different, but maybe she has spoiled us a little :)
As we approach her 8 month birthday... here is our little munchkin in a nutshell:
* Miss M is mellow. She enjoys being around people and apart of things and she is very good at just hanging!
* She loves to eat, sleep (like her mom) and learn (like her dad)
* She studies EVERYTHING!
* She loves to sit and play with her toys
* M has already learned to wave and has almost grasped clapping :)
* Madelyn enjoys meeting new people and especially likes being around other babies. She gets visibly excited and vocal, and she loves having playdates!
* She is not a cuddler (although Mommy hopes this may change)
* She has a bizarre fascination with feet and toes. She'll fall out of your arms trying to stare at your feet before you can pull her attention away!
* When she is tired, she wants to be left alone and put in bed. She smiles when you lay her down, as if to say - thank you, goodnight!
* She hates pacifiers. Not one pacifier has lasted in her mouth more than 3 seconds!
* She LOVES sucking on her fingers, especially when she's tired
* The minute you hand her a lovey, her left middle and pointer finger, go right into her mouth
* She has no interest in rolling over or crawling, absolutely none!
* She has Mommy's hands and feet BUT Daddy's toes... go figure.There is no doubt she has Daddy's hair and eyebrows... maybe mommy's eye color, maybe.
* She wears all 12 - 18 months clothes, and I just bought her 2 dresses in 2T, for THIS summer because they fit perfectly.
* Last but certainly not least, she is happy and smiley, which just melts our hearts!
