This old house - new and improved!

As discussed here - we jumped right from our bathroom renovations, into phase 2 of our reno plans in early June. The need to do it promptly took a little of the excitement out of it all, especially since the plan was for the kitchen renovation to happen next (which I was so excited about). Instead, the entire outside of our house got a makeover. The trees, the siding, the deck, the gutters, the windows and the doors. The only thing that we didn't touch was the roof, and hopefully we can get away with not having to for a while :) We want to take out a little more landscaping, and add some new in spots, but for the the most part we are done-zo. I was a little disappointed that the kitchen plan was on hold, and we these updates took precedence. However, now that it's done, I have to say it was all very well worth it. The updates brought our house up to date and more modern looking - and now, it's very us. It goes without saying, that we are looking forward to a quiet house! To us, the change is huge and it's a relief to know that the walls of the home not only look good now but they'll hold up for a very long time! Everyone loves a good before and after, especially me, so I'm surprised that I didn't take better before pictures, but you get the gist.
Here is the new and improved...

Lastly, one of my favorite improvements. In the final stages of the renovation, I told Brian I thought we needed a new front door. He probably rolled his eyes and dismissed it immediately, but to be honest, it wasn't a discussion in my book. We had to. We couldn't do everything and then leave our old door. So, I found a reasonably priced door, and great paint that we both love, and voila!
It's literally the icing on the cake, and it's perfect!
